Lovely fine china mug using Ray Eames' beautiful 'small dot' textile design to decorate it.
As one half of one of the most important design collaborations of the 20th Century Ray had an interest in contemporary and traditional folk art and had a keen sense of shape, colour, pattern, texture, structure and proportion.

Ray designed covers for Art and Architecture magazine in the early 1940's that indicated her engagement with avant-garde art and design.
Textile designs still evoke 'a jaunty and refreshing playfulness'.
