Mini Mug Lake Keitele Kallela

Dimensions: 8 x 7cm D

£10.00

Lake Keitele by Askeli Gallen- Kallela

Made from fine bone china, these mini mugs are masterpieces – Literally! Using paintings from The National Gallery’s collection, Whitbread Wilkinson have married traditional art with functional design and, thankfully, the honeymoon period continues. The mugs also feature a coloured stripe inspired by a detail of the painting.
A key player in modern Finnish painting, Askeli Gallen-Kallela was first inspired by Lake Keitele in the summer of 1904. This painting was his third and most detailed depiction of the lake and provides an image of serenity for all those drinking coffee in chaos.
